This is exactly who the mat is for. Your practitioner sees you once a week. This runs every evening, 20 to 30 minutes, and that consistency is the whole point. Give it eight to twelve weeks before you judge it, watching your mornings and your tracker rather than the sessions themselves.
Then this is the wrong tool and we would rather tell you now. PEMF works on the nervous system and recovery, not on skin. For skin and targeted light work, red light is the better-studied modality, so look at the red light panel instead. Come back to this mat if broken sleep or whole-body stiffness is the bigger problem.
Honest answer: buy the sauna blanket, not this. The far-infrared layer in this mat runs 30 to 75C as gentle background warmth under a PEMF session, and it is lovely, but it is not built to make you sweat. If the ritual you are picturing is heat, towels, and a shower after, the blanket is the right tool and this mat will disappoint you.

Position and what to wear.

Week 1–2: nothing dramatic.
